A Supermodel Is Suing Hilton Hotels After Sustaining Bed Bug Bites In An Infested Room

A Supermodel Is Suing Hilton Hotels After Sustaining Bed Bug Bites In An Infested RoomLouisiana Bed Bug Control

Bed bugs are a growing problem in the world today, and nobody is immune to their bites, not even supermodels. A few weeks ago, a Brazilian supermodel named Sabrina Jales St. Pierre filed a lawsuit over several bed bug bites that she had sustained while staying in a hotel. Many people may not sympathize with this supermodel’s bed bug issues, as many people are envious of the fact that supermodels seem to live a glamourous and pampered lifestyle. However, if you have ever experienced a bed bug infestation, then you probably would not wish the experience on your worst enemy. Some people may assume that supermodels are overpaid for stress-free work, and they would be right, but when your most profitable asset becomes damaged, in this case flawless skin, then maintaining a modeling career becomes impossible. This is why St. Pierre is suing the hotel over the bed bugs that she involuntarily shared a room with.

St. Pierre is suing the Embassy Suites Hotel in Palm Desert over a bed bug infestation that occured way back in 2016. Photos were posted online that show the bed bug bites that St. Pierre allegedly sustained during her stay at the upscale hotel. The large dime to nickel-sized welts are clearly visible in the close up photo of the model’s upper back. The model is being represented by the well known bed bug lawyer named Brian Virag.

Virag is notorious for winning cases in favor of people who claimed to have undergone bed bug attacks. Virag’s business webpage is named “My Bed Bug Lawyer”, and he has won several high profile bed bug cases against large hotel and apartment complexes. One of his victories saw his clients win more than three million dollars against an apartment complex.

Virag claims that the model suffered stress and humiliation after she returned to work bearing her bed bug-induced injuries. The model is suing the Hilton Hotel chain for damages that resulted from her stay in the bed bug infested hotel room. The dollar amount that the model is seeking to compensate for her trauma and injuries has not yet been disclosed.

Do you believe that the model in this news story is in the right for deciding to sue the hotel for the bed bug bites that she sustained while staying in one of the rooms?

Having bed bugs can be worse for some victims than others. Those who are able to pay for pest control services may be grateful to see a relatively quick solution to their bed bug problem. Sadly, not everyone is able to afford pest control services. Other times people need to wait until they are paid until a bed bug infestation can be dealt with. This can mean many sleepless nights on a carpet. Luckily, many people are able to resolve bed bug infestations when they occur, but senior citizens happen to be one group of people that cannot always handle and pay for bed bug treatments on their own. Happily for one ninety two year old World War Two veteran, a charitable group focusing on bed bug related issues had the bloodsucking bugs eradicated from his home for free.

A charity group that typically works with schools in order to assist children who are living in bed bug infested homes has decided to reach out to a different type of bed bug victim. A few members of the Kern family had been living with their elderly grandfather in order to assist him with various tasks. A couple of years back, the Kern family learned that their home was infested with bed bugs, and they were especially bothersome to their grandfather. After Pamela Kerns called the bed bug charity group they agreed to help her grandfather eradicate the bed bug presence within his home.

The Kern family was forced to endure a bed bug infestation for two years before the charity group was notified about their problem. The family was becoming stressed due to not being able to have guests over to their home. The last thing the family wanted to do was curse another person with a bed bug infestation. Eventually, the charity group had the home heat-treated, and now there are no bed bugs left, and the ninety two year old veteran and his family can sleep in peace.

Do you think that pest infestations will become commonplace enough in the future to warrant government assistance with pest control professionals?

Dormitory Residents Are Forced To Live With Bed Bug Infestations For A Period

Dormitory Residents Are Forced To Live With Bed Bug Infestations For A PeriodLouisiana Bed Bug Control

Having a bed bug infestation causes a lot of unwanted stress in a person’s life. For a busy full-time college student, the stress of daily life is intense enough without having to worry about bed bug infestations. Sadly this is the reality at a particular dormitory at Trinity College at the University of Toronto. According to students, the bed bugs are entering the old dormitory building through cracks in the stone walls. Pest control professionals have already treated certain areas of the dorm, but the infestations only seem to be getting more serious. In response to the widespread bed bug infestation in the dormitory, many students were hoping to be evacuated to another dormitory. However, this is not the case for the affected students as they are not being provided with an alternate living space by the college. Unless the students can afford hotel rooms, they are sadly forced to endure living in bed bug infested conditions.

According to a first year business student and resident of the bed bug infested dormitory, Amy Kim, both her and a few other residents of the dormitory first noticed the bed bug infestation last February. She says that several students, including her, have found bed bugs within their blankets and pillow cases, and they have been waking up with bed bug bites covering their bodies. Kim even went as far as to send pictures of her bed bug infested bedding materials to a news outlet in an effort to prompt the college into acting on this issue more quickly.

A Trinity College spokesperson has not denied any of these claims, but they defend themselves by mentioning previous efforts to have the bed bugs eradicated. In an effort to avoid the spread of bed bugs and to assist pest control officers, the students at the dorm have placed their clothing and bedding into plastic garbage bags. The hope is that this will protect their belongings from bed bug infestations. As far as Kim knows, the bed bug infestation in the dormitory is limited solely to the building’s main floor. Pest control professionals will soon be treating the affected areas of the dorm while the students remain indoors. According to college officials, this is a safe practice considering the treatment method being employed.

Do you think that Trinity College has a duty to evacuate students from dorm rooms that are infested with termites?

Numerous LA Residents Become Suspicious After Finding Bed Bugs In Library Books

Numerous LA Residents Become Suspicious After Finding Bed Bugs In Library Books

You don’t need to watch the news or read the newspaper to know that bed bugs are a constant menace to humans. Bed bugs have recently been reported in several Los Angeles libraries, but this is no big deal because bed bugs have been spotted in libraries all over America, right? While it is true that bed bugs are often spotted within libraries, most library systems don’t make efforts to hide their bed bug infestations from the public. Unfortunately, a news station based in Los Angeles has uncovered evidence indicating that library officials in LA have made numerous attempts to hide bed bug infestations from the public.

A local news station based in Los Angeles investigated a string of crimes that were committed at several library branches in the LA area. During the team’s investigation, it was found that LA libraries had dealt with more than eighty separate bed bug infestations at several different branches since 2014. The news team obtained documents confirming this information. Many LA residents have even reported checking out books only to later find bed bugs falling out of them. The news channel interviewed one woman who found several bed bugs between the pages of a book that she had checked-out from an LA library. Surprisingly, bed bugs gravitate toward books, but not because they have curious minds; instead bed bugs find that a book’s spine, and even the pages, make for ideal egg-laying areas. Even the American Library Association’s website mentions that one single female can lay up to one hundred and twenty thousand offspring in just a six month period. At this rate, the bed bug infestations in LA libraries may already be out of hand.

According to one longtime LA-based librarian who wished to remain anonymous, bed bugs are found frequently in books and other locations within local libraries, but all library staff are ordered not to mention such bed bug sightings to the public. Bed bugs may be common in libraries due to homeless individuals bringing bed bug-infested blankets and clothes into libraries. Bed bugs have become such a big problem in libraries around the United States that some cities have resorted to extreme prevention measures. For example libraries in Wichita, Kansas and Long Island, New York regularly bring bed bug-sniffing dogs into libraries during the daytime hours in order to locate infestations.

Do you think that library officials have a responsibility to publicly announce when bed bugs are found on library grounds?
